I don’t really know how to start a blog and I haven’t Googled the answer.
This is a first for me as everything you’re going to read on this blog is learnt purely from Google, YouTube and good friends who actually know (they assure me) what they’re doing.
As a result, I thought it might be quite organic starting a blog without researching the right way to do it. Whether that’s a good or bad thing, we’ll find out later.
Let’s get to the purpose of this site, I wanted to build a tiki inspired bar in my back garden and I thought I’d document the process in a blog. My hope of the blog is that it will be interesting to others who share the desire to build but lack the confidence to commit to building concepts that seem difficult or require some sort of training.
I’m not going to dive into ‘me’ too much as my About Me page should give you an idea of who I am and why I’m doing this and why you can enjoy more exciting content on this blog than just ‘the bar’.
A short bit I will share though:
My name is Gareth Bird and I live with my ever patient and loving partner in crime Kirstiann. I had too much time on my hands one rainy day resulting in me designing a bar that could go in our garden. The ongoing fun and trauma I decided to blog here for everyone’s entertainment.
P.S. The Birds Nest – Gareth Bird – get it?!
